"We originally considered an in-ground swimming pool; until we received a Hot Tub Oasis postcard. The H2X Swim Spa immediately captured our attention. We found the swim spa can be a great alternative, compared to an in-ground pool. There is less daily maintenance, chemicals, cost to heat water, not as many township requirements, and we could use the swim spa year round!

We made several trips to the showroom. Mike Derus was patient and welcomed our questions. During our second visit, Mike cheerfully encouraged our test swim in the spa, which was well over an hour! We became first time spa owners with our purchase on July 28, 2008. We had lots more questions, and emailed Mike Derus and Andi LaRosa with our inquiries. They were a great source of information; gladly contacted factory representatives for us, and sent prompt responses every time!

Our preparation for delivery required concrete and electric service we secured through local businesses. 3 yards of concrete for a 9 x 18 pad @ 6 inch thick, 4000 PSI rebar reinforced with a 6 inch stone base. Our electrician provided 50 amp 220 service with house entry, trenching, and GFCI box placement. We used the Master Spa electrical hookup diagram to measure and run the electricity connection through the concrete pad; a 1" diameter conduit sweep.

Concrete was poured September 17, 2008. Our delivery date was Friday, October 10, 2008. We were swimming in our spa the same weekend! The Hot Tub Oasis Installation Staff was top-notch! They worked with the crane operator and placed the spa flawlessly. Justin, in the Service Department, fielded more questions from us once we started to fill the spa and set up the programming. Mike Derus came to our house on installation day to oversee the delivery and make sure we were satisfied.

Some of our favorite moments in the hot tub so far have been enjoying the stars at night, watching airplane vapor trails at sunset, snowflakes falling on us, and relaxing after our Thanksgiving dinner while listening to Christmas music. When we ask each other, "How about we go out to the hot tub for twenty minutes?", it always turns into at least 1 1/2 hour soak!
